Findings from University of New South Wales provide new insights into cancer vaccines

New investigation results, 'Hepatitis B-related hepatocellular carcinoma: epidemiological characteristics and disease burden,' are detailed in a study published in Journal of Viral Hepatitis. According to recent research published in the Journal of Viral Hepatitis, "Worldwide, 350 million people are chronically infected with hepatitis B virus (HBV) who are at greater risk of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) compared with uninfected people. The relative risks of HCC among people infected with HBV ranges from 5 to 49 in case-control studies and from 7 to 98 in cohort studies."
