Reports from Y. Suehara et al highlight recent research in gastrointestinal stromal tumors

According to a study from Tsukiji, Japan, "The gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) is the most common mesenchymal malignancy of the gastrointestinal tract. Its clinical course ranges widely from a curable disorder to a highly malignant disease."
