Genentech Announces Appointment of Sandra J. Horning, M.D., To Senior Vice President, Global Head, Clinical Development Hematology/Oncology

Genentech, Inc., a wholly-owned member of the Roche Group (SIX: RO, ROG; OTCQX: RHHBY), announced the appointment of Sandra J. Horning, M.D., to senior vice president, global head, Clinical Development Hematology/Oncology.

Beginning in September 2009, Dr. Horning will report to Hal Barron, M.D., executive vice president, Global Development, and chief medical officer in the U.S. In her role, Dr. Horning will be will be a member of the Development Senior Staff and will be responsible for leading the medical and scientific strategies for the global clinical development portfolio in oncology.
