Colon Cancer Therapy
Researchers from University of Kansas Medical Center, Department of Surgery report on findings in colon cancer therapy

A new study, 'Combination intraperitoneal chemotherapy is superior to mitomycin C or oxaliplatin for colorectal carcinomatosis in vivo,' is now available. "Hyperthermic intraperitoneal (IP) chemotherapy after cytoreduction improves survival in patients with colorectal carcinomatosis of the peritoneal surface. Most protocols use single agents (mitomycin C or oxaliplatin) provided IP," scientists writing in the journal Annals of Surgical Oncology report.
