Studies from China Medical University, Department of Oncology provide new data on gastric cancer therapy

Research findings, 'Cimetidine induces apoptosis in gastric cancer cells in vitro and inhibits tumor growth in vivo,' are discussed in a new report. According to recent research from Shenyang, People's Republic of China, "Cimetidine, a histamine-2 (H2) receptor antagonist, has been demonstrated to have anticancer effects on various types of malignancies. However, the mechanisms of its action on gastric cancer are not completely understood."
