Scientists at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Department of Medicine publish research in neuroblastoma risk factors

Data detailed in 'KIR and HLA genotypes are associated with disease progression and survival following autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for high-risk neuroblastoma' have been presented. "NK cells exhibit cytotoxicity against neuroblastoma. Gene polymorphisms governing NK cell function, therefore, may influence prognosis," scientists in the United States report.
