Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Therapy
New non-small cell lung cancer therapy study findings have been reported by researchers at University Hospital, Division of Thoracic Surgery

A new study, 'Extended surgical resection in stage III non-small cell lung cancer,' is now available. "Stage III includes a large variety of clinical situations from chest wall invasion together with intralobar lymph node metastasis to any size of a lung cancer in combination with mediastinal lymph node involvement (N2/N3). Furthermore, the prognosis of patients with lymph node metastasis depends largely on the extent of the disease, which may range from micro-metastasis occasionally found during surgery to bulky and/or multilevel involvement of the mediastinum or extracapsular infiltration," investigators in Zurich, Switzerland report.
