Data from Fudan University, Department of Oncology provide new insights into lymphoma genetics

Research findings, 'Mutations of NFKBIA in biopsy specimens from Hodgkin lymphoma,' are discussed in a new report. "To determine the possible alteration of the inhibitor kappaBalpha (HUGO-approved symbol, NF-kBIA) gene in Chinese Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) patients, NF-kBIA mRNA and protein expression in 22 primary HL patients were examined. Individual tumor cells were used for amplification to obtain the NF-kBIA gene, and the polymerase chain reaction products were sequenced," scientists writing in the journal Cancer Genetics and Cytogenetics report.
