New investigation results, 'Obesity, hyperinsulinemia and breast cancer: novel targets and a novel role for metformin,' are detailed in a study published in Expert Review of Molecular Diagnostics. According to a study from Poznan, Poland, "The relationship between obesity, metabolic syndrome, diabetes and cancer has been recognized for many years. Multiple studies conducted in the last 20 years have identified molecular mechanisms responsible for this phenomenon."
