Investigators at University of Connecticut, Comprehensive Cancer Center release new data on mucositis

New investigation results, 'Oral mucositis: the new paradigms,' are detailed in a study published in Current Opinion In Oncology. According to recent research from the United States, "Mucositis has long been viewed as an unavoidable consequence of high-dose chemotherapy and/or radiation. Management has been directed to supportive care including oral pain control, nutritional support, infection treatment and control of diarrhea."
