New head and neck cancer study findings have been reported from University of Michigan, Department of Radiology

2010 NOV 30 -- New investigation results, 'Treatment response assessment of head and neck cancers on CT using computerized volume analysis,' are detailed in a study published in Ajnr American Journal of Neuroradiology. "Head and neck cancer can cause substantial morbidity and mortality. Our aim was to evaluate the potential usefulness of a computerized system for segmenting lesions in head and neck CT scans and for estimation of volume change of head and neck malignant tumors in response to treatment," researchers in the United States report.
