New Kidney Cancer Study Findings Have Been Reported by Researchers at University Hospital, Department of Medical Oncology

2011 JAN 18 -- New research, 'Knowledge of hereditary renal cancer syndromes: a pending issue for oncologists,' is the subject of a report. "Renal cell cancer (RCC) is a rare disease that accounts for 2-3% of all solid malignancies. Although its etiology is not known, approximately 4% of RCC occurs in the context of complex hereditary syndromes in which the kidney lesions are associated with other manifestations," scientists in Alcorcon, Spain report.
