Findings from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Advance Knowledge in Lung Cancer

2011 JUL 26 -- Scientists discuss in "Can Hyperpolarized Helium MRI add to radiation planning and follow-up in lung cancer" new findings in Lung Cancer. According to the authors of a study from Boston, Massachusetts, "Locally advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is a common disease with a low overall survival even with aggressive treatments. Standard imaging (CT and PET/CT) provide no information about normal lung function."
