New Head and Neck Cancer Research Reported from Copenhagen University Hospital

2011 AUG 23 -- New investigation results, "Does hyperbaric oxygen treatment have the potential to increase salivary flow rate and reduce xerostomia in previously irradiated head and neck cancer patients' A pilot study," are detailed in a study published in Oral Oncology. According to the authors of a study from Copenhagen, Denmark, "Irradiated head and neck cancer survivors treated in the Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) Unit, Copenhagen University Hospital, spontaneously reported improvement of radiation-induced dry mouth feeling.
