Studies from University of Leipzig Provide New Data on Immunologic Receptors

2011 SEP 13 -- Fresh data on Immunologic Receptors are presented in the report "Integrin a5ß1 facilitates cancer cell invasion through enhanced contractile forces." According to the authors of recent research published in the journal Development, "Cell migration through connective tissue, or cell invasion, is a fundamental biomechanical process during metastasis formation. Cell invasion usually requires cell adhesion to the extracellular matrix through integrins."
