2011 DEC 13 -- According to the authors of recent research from Berlin, Germany, "Patients with synchronous metastastic breast cancer and intact primary tumor traditionally undergo systemic treatment. Surgical intervention at the primary site is typically reserved for palliation and often replaceable by radiation."
