Researchers' Work from Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research Focuses on Cancer Research

2012 JAN 24 -- New investigation results, "Selective killing of K-ras mutant cancer cells by small molecule inducers of oxidative stress," are detailed in a study published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America. According to the authors of a study from Cambridge, Massachusetts, "Activating K-RAS mutations are the most frequent oncogenic mutations in human cancer. Numerous downstream signaling pathways have been shown to be deregulated by oncogenic K-ras."
