2012 MAR 27 -- According to the authors of recent research published in the journal Materials Science & Engineering C-Materials for Biological Applications, "Composite microspheres were prepared by coating yttrium-aluminum-silicate (YAS) glass microspheres (20-30 mu m) with a layer of Fe3O4 nanoparticles and evaluated for potential use in brachytherapy and hyperthermia treatment of cancer."
