New Radiotherapy System Provides More Effective, Safer Cancer Treatment at DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital

2012 APR 24 -- A new image-guided radiotherapy system will be dedicated on Thurs., April 19, 2012 at DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital. The TrueBeam™ system (www.variantruebeam.com) treats cancer more effectively through highly precise targeting of lung, breast, prostate, and head and neck tumors. Enhanced precision is achieved through the integration of imaging and motion management technologies. In addition, the TrueBeam™ system requires a shorter treatment time and reduces the patient's exposure to x-rays.
