Biotechnology company reports improved third quarter results

Lipid Sciences, Inc., reported financial results for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2004. For the third quarter of 2004, Lipid reported a net loss of $3.2 million, or $.13 per share, on a basic and diluted basis. This compares with a net loss of $2.9 million, or $.14 per share for the same period in 2003. Operating expenses for the third quarter of 2004 were $3.2 million versus $2.3 million during the same period in 2003.
