Company announces Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement for EVLT

Diomed Holdings, Inc., (DIO), a developer and marketer of minimally invasive medical technologies, announced that the U.S. Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has established reimbursement codes for laser ablation as a mode of treatment for superficial vein disorders, including its patented EndoVenous Laser Treatment (EVLT) for varicose veins. The new codes, which are established by the American Medical Association and the CMS, form the basis for Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement across the U.S. and are expected to become effective January 1, 2005.
