Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Virginia awards $12M to 41 hospitals

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Virginia will award 41 hospitals around Virginia an estimated $12 million for improvements in patient safety and health outcomes through the company's Quality-In-Sights: Hospital Incentive Program (Q-HIP).

Q-HIP, which rewards hospitals for consistently following patient safety and clinical guidelines developed by national healthcare experts like the American College of Cardiology (ACC), Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), The Leapfrog Group and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), is part of the company's commitment to improve the health of our members and communities.
