Scientists at Ludwig-Maximilians University target vascular disease prevention

A new study, "Cardiovascular benefits of omega-3 fatty acids," is now available. According to recent research published in the journal Cardiovascular Research, "Cardiac societies recommend the intake of 1 g/day of the two omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) for cardiovascular disease prevention, treatment after a myocardial infarction, prevention of sudden death, and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease. These recommendations are based on a body of scientific evidence that encompasses literally thousands of publications."
