Study results from University of Toronto update understanding of tetralogy of fallot in children

Fresh data on tetralogy of fallot are presented in the report "Surgical outcomes in the treatment of patients with tetralogy of Fallot and absent pulmonary valve." According to recent research from Toronto, Canada, "Tetralogy of Fallot and absent pulmonary valve (TOF/APV) is associated with significant pulmonary artery dilatation and airway compression. Treatment of infants presenting with respiratory symptoms early in life is associated with high mortality (20-60%)."
