Reports outline enzyme research study findings from University Hospital

A report, 'Decrease in blood pressure after intravenous administration of urapidil during recombinant tissue plasminogen activator thrombolysis for acute ischemic stroke,' is newly published data in Clinical Therapeutics. "In patients who are candidates for IV recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (rtPA) thrombolysis for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke, blood pressure (BP)-lowering therapy is sometimes needed for systolic Bp >185 mm Hg or diastolic Bp >110 mm Hg. However, there is vast uncertainty regarding the appropriate choice of an antihypertensive agent," scientists in Amiens, France report.
