AstraZeneca, American Heart Association Pay It Forward to the City of New Orleans with Donation to Rebuild City Walking Path

The City of New Orleans is now able to take steps to reconstruct the walking path in the New Orleans City Park thanks to a $11,500 charitable contribution made by the American Heart Association and AstraZeneca, a national sponsor of the American Heart Association’s Start! initiative. The park, which is over 150 years old and one of the largest parks in the country, was devastated in the 2005 Katrina Hurricane.
New Orleans was the host city to the American Heart Association’s Scientific Sessions, which took place in November 2008. At the meeting, AstraZeneca and the American Heart Association asked attendees to “Make Every Step Count” by participating in the Start!...
