Latina/Hispanic women most at-risk group for heart disease in U.S.

The beauty and strength of the Latina/Hispanic culture rests in the family, and the heartbeat of the family is the wife and mother. Unfortunately, heart disease and stroke are attacking that heartbeat, says the American Heart Association.

Through the "Por la vida, el rojo" ("Go Red For Women") campaign, nationally sponsored in the U.S. by Macy's department store and pharmaceutical company Pfizer, as part of Hispanic Heritage Month, September 15 - October 15, the American Heart Association seeks to improve Hispanic women's heart health by providing education and tools. The association's free Por la vida, el rojo programs and tools are found online at americanheart.org....
