Patients with ARVD exhibit a high prevalence of cardiac abnormalities

Researchers have investigated left ventricular morphology and function in patients with atherosclerotic renovascular disease.

According to recent research from England, "Atherosclerotic renovascular disease (ARVD) is associated with heart disease. There has been no systematic study of cardiac structure and function in patients with this condition."

J.R. Wright and colleagues of the University of Manchester wrote, "In [our] study, the epidemiology of cardiac changes and their relationship to renal function, renovascular anatomy, and BP are delineated.
