Investigators in the Netherlands report, "Individuals with familial hypobetalipoproteinemia (FHBL) have been reported to be prone to fatty liver disease (FLD). Conversely, the profound reduction of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol in this disorder might decrease cardiovascular risk."
