William Claypool, MD, appointed to board of morphogenics-focused biotech company

Morphotek, Inc. announced that William D. Claypool, MD, has been appointed to its Board of Directors.

Claypool currently is chief executive officer and chairman of the board of Phoenix Data Systems, Inc. Prior to his current position, he held a number of senior level management positions in the areas of worldwide clinical development, project management, R&D portfolio management, and medical affairs at both SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals and G.D. Searle, Inc.

Claypool is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and received his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. He performed his medical residency and pulmonary...
