Low-dose retinoids prevented cutaneous SCC in organ transplant recipients

Low-dose retinoids might lower the incidence of cutaneous squamous cell carcinomas (SCCs) in organ transplant recipients (OTRs).

In a recent article published in the journal Archives of Dermatology, scientists in England conducted a study "to evaluate the long-term efficacy of systemic retinoids in reducing the incidence of cutaneous SCCs in OTRs, who are at greatly increased risk of SCCs."
