Researchers discussed the future role of anesthesiologists in pain management.

According to recent research published in the journal Acta Anaesthesiologica Scandinavica, "Relieving pain during and after surgery and trauma has always been a basic duty of anesthesiologists. With their skills and expertise in regional analgesia and pharmacological analgesia, anesthesiologists have improved management of severe cancer pain."
