Research from University of Tokyo, Department of Surgery provides new data about liver transplant

Investigators publish new data in the report 'Preemptive treatment of fungal infection based on plasma (1 --> 3)beta-D-glucan levels after liver transplantation.' According to a study from Tokyo, Japan, "Invasive fungal infection remains a major challenge in liver transplantation and the mortality rate is high. Early diagnosis and treatment are required for better results."
