Drug delivery company announces total revenue increase for third quarter

Nektar Therapeutics (Nasdaq:NKTR) announced its financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2004.

The company reported total revenue of $28.5 million for the 3 months ended September 30, 2004, compared to $27.4 million for the third quarter of 2003. In the third quarter of 2004, product sales were $5.0 million compared to $7.7 million in 2003, and contract revenue totaled $23.6 million compared to $19.6 million in the third quarter of 2003.
