Levocetirizine controls symptoms for entire pollen season

Levocetirizine can control the symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis (SAR) throughout the entire pollen season.

"Levocetirizine is a potent and highly selective H1-antihistamine with a proven efficacy in adults," pediatricians in France explained.

"Studies evaluating newer antihistamines in children are few," noted J. de Blic and colleagues working at the Hôpital des Enfants Malades in Paris, who evaluated "the efficacy of levocetirizine 5 mg once-daily" in reducing SAR symptoms, "as measured by Total Four Symptom Score (T4SS=sum of sneezing, rhinorrhea, nasal and ocular pruritus), over the first 2 wk of treatment."
