Whole grains in high fiber, reduced calorie diet help weight loss, heart health

A clinical study has found that a high fiber reduced calorie diet that included whole grain cereals and increased physical activity was effective in promoting weight loss and reducing risk factors for cardiovascular disease.

It's been shown that excess weight increases a person's risk factors for cardiovascular diseases like high cholesterol, high triglycerides, high blood pressure and stroke. Research shows that losing just 5-10% of your body weight results in meaningful reductions in heart disease risk factors.
