Research conducted at Hiroshima University has provided new information about type 2 diabetes prevention

Current study results from the report, 'Efficacy of a self-management education program for people with type 2 diabetes: results of a 12 month trial,' have been published. According to recent research from Japan, "Patient education that enhances one's self-management ability is of utmost importance for improving patient outcomes in chronic diseases. We developed a 12 month self-management education program for type 2 diabetes, based on a previous 6 month program, and examined its efficacy."
