Pharmaceutical company appoints Appelbaum to the board of directors

Bone Care International, Inc., (BCII) announced that Michael A. Appelbaum has been appointed to Bone Care International's board of directors. The board also appointed Appelbaum to the audit committee of the board. The appointment of Appelbaum increases Bone Care's independent directors to seven of the nine directors. Appelbaum is former president and chief operating officer of GenPharm International, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Medarex, Inc., a public biotechnology company.
