Recent findings in chromatography described by researchers from Beijing Normal University, Department of Chemistry
November 7th, 2006
Researchers detail in "Chiral separation of four fluoroquinolone compounds using capillary electrophoresis with hydroxypropyl-beta-cyclodextrin as chiral selector," new data in chromatography. "A capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) investigation on the enantiomeric separation of lomefloxacin, gatifloxacin, pazufloxacin and ofloxacin was undertaken. Resolution of the enantiomers was achieved using hydroxypropyl-beta-cyclodextrin (HP-beta-CD) as the chiral selector," scientists in Beijing, People's Republic of China report. "Parameters influencing separation include cyclodextrin concentration, separational potential, pH and organic additive are discussed. A buffer...
