New drug abuse research from Analysis Group, Inc. outlined

New investigation results, "Estimated costs of prescription opioid analgesic abuse in the United States in 2001: a societal perspective," are detailed in a study published in The Clinical Journal of Pain. "This study estimates the costs to society of prescription opioid analgesic (RxO) abuse in the United States. Costs associated with RxO abuse were grouped into healthcare, criminal justice, and workplace categories," investigators in the United States report.
