Investigators at Tufts University, Department of Psychology zero in on behavior

Fresh data on behavior are presented in the report "Persistent exercise attenuates nicotine- but not clonidine-induced antinociception in female rats. Exercise decreases the antinociceptive effects of opiate drugs. It has been hypothesized that the exercise-induced attenuation of opiate drug action is the result of the development of cross-tolerance between endogenous opioids released during exercise and exogenous opiates," scientists writing in the journal Pharmacology, Biochemistry and Behavior report.
