Investigators at University of Patras, Department of Pharmacy publish new data on angiogenesis

Fresh data on angiogenesis are presented in the report "The phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitor sildenafil stimulates angiogenesis through a protein kinase G/MAPK pathway." According to a study from Patras, Greece, "CGMP-degrading pathways have received little attention in the context of angiogenesis. In the present study we set out to determine whether cGMP-specific phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE5) inhibition affects new blood vessel growth."
