Patients, Physicians, and Pharmacists Fighting Diversion Organization Selects ImageWare Systems to Help Combat Prescription Narcotic Drug Abuse

ImageWare(R) Systems, Inc. (AMEX:IW), a leading developer of identity management solutions, announced the company was selected by the non-profit consortium of Patients, Physicians, and Pharmacists Fighting Diversion (PPPFD(TM)) to implement a comprehensive biometric identity management solution as part of its Forensic Medicine Technology(TM) program. The purpose of this system is to fight prescription narcotic drug abuse and diversion while ensuring law abiding patients continue to have access to the narcotic medicines they need.
