California Healthcare Institute Urges Congress to Extend R&D Tax Credit

The California Healthcare Institute (CHI) today urged support for congressional action to extend the federal research and development (R&D) tax credit prior to the end of this year. The credit, which will once again expire on Dec. 31, 2007, provides companies with an important incentive to make high-risk investments, leading to the development of innovative, life-saving therapies and medical technologies and contributing to job creation and economic growth.
