New data from Fermoy, Co. illuminate research in antimicrobials

New investigation results, 'Antimicrobial activity of two peptides casecidin 15 and 17, found naturally in bovine colostrum,' are detailed in a study published in Journal of Applied Microbiology. In this recently published study, investigators in Fermoy, Ireland conducted a study "To isolate and characterize peptides from bovine colostrum with antimicrobial activity. Three peptides were purified from fresh colostrum by a range of chromatographic methods using antimicrobial activity against Escherichia coli DH5alpha to screen for the most active fractions."
