Aricept Improves Cognition/Global Function in Nursing Home Patients

Nursing home residents have been thought to be beyond the reach of treatment for the cognitive impairments associated with Alzheimer's disease. But study results presented at the American Medical Director's Association Meeting, held in San Francisco, California, during March 2000, indicate a majority of residents with Alzheimer's disease responded positively to treatment with Aricept (donepezil hydrochloride).
