Trials Announced for Treatment without Amputation

Endovasc Ltd., Inc., Montgomery, Texas, announced that it would shortly begin Phase III clinical trials of Liprostin for the treatment of critical limb ischemia (CLI), a condition that can be caused by diseases such as diabetes. The announcement was made by the company during a presentation at the Emerging Medical Technology - West Conference in Irvine, California, on March 7, 2000. The Phase III human trials will be conducted under the direction of Dr. Richard M. Smalling, University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.
