Clinical research association doubles membership in first year

Amid increasing awareness of the need for clinical research organizations to participate in health policy debates regarding drug development issues, the Association of Clinical Research Organizations (ACRO) announced its membership has doubled in just 1 year of operation.

New ACRO-member companies PharmaNet, Ingenix, Lineberry Research Associates, Omnicare Clinical Research, and PRA International have joined founding members Covance, Inc., Kendle International, Inc., Parexal International Corp., PPD, and Quintiles Transnational Corp. in representing the views of the drug development industry before legislative and regulatory groups.
