Chemotherapy for carcinoma of the cervix has improved outcomes

Advances in systemic therapies have improved outcomes for cervical cancer, researchers say.

According to recent research from the United States, "Carcinoma of the cervix remains the most common form of cancer to affect women worldwide despite effective screening techniques."

"Advances in treatment, particularly systemic therapies, have improved outcomes for cervical cancer," wrote T. Thigpen and colleagues, University of Mississippi Medical Center.
