Symposium calls for improved access to screening, treatment across Europe

Politicians and physicians met at a unique symposium held under the auspices of the Istituto Nazionale Tumori Regina Elena, Rome, Italy, to discuss the way forward in realizing goals to improve access to screening and treatment of breast cancer in Europe.

Oncologists from around Europe attending the symposium heard that although improvements in breast cancer care have been observed in recent years, there is still a great deal more that can be achieved to ensure a better outcome for patients.
